Stanground and Farcet Churches in Peterborough is looking to employ a Registered Nurse in a paid position to lead their new Parish Nursing Service. This innovate service, supported by Parish Nursing Ministries U.K (https://parishnursing.org.uk/)  aims to improve and maintain the wholistic health and wellbeing of our local community.

 

Main Responsibilities include:

• Personal Health Screening, Information Advice & General Heath Education

• Referral Agent and Health Advocate

• Training and Co-ordinating Volunteers

• Liaising with other local services

• Providing spiritual care

• Supporting the wider health, safety and risk management of our Churches and congregation especially for the elderly population

 

Full training and support for revalidation is provided. This post requires the successful candidate to offer spiritual care and prayer when requested and it is therefore a Genuine Occupation Requirement for the application to be a practising Christian.

 

Days and hours are flexible to suit the right candidate, but we would ideally like this role to be fulfilled from 10am – 2pm, 2-days a week. There is a 6-month trial period and the contract will be for a 3-year period.
